The tour pace is leisurely, but each day will offer a variety of culturally interesting events.  Our hotels and food are high quality, with locations convenient to our sightseeing interests.  Francis and Maisy Dumont will offer superior assistance and a European perspective as guides and translators.  We will also have local tour guides in each region.  Willi Schumacher, as usual, will drive our Voyages Emile Weber motor coach.  June is a good time to travel.  We hope you might join us.  Please call us about your interest or with any questions.  Sign up early.  You can change your plans without penalty up to the time we buy air tickets on March 10, 2000.

Wednesday, June 14, 2000
Departure from Dayton, Ohio via Pittsburgh on all jet overnight flights to Frankfurt, Germany.  Meals en route.  

Thursday, June 15, 2000
Morning arrival in Frankfurt.  Board our Weber motor coach for transfer to the Rhine River and a boat trip among the castles of the middle Rhine.  Our motor coach will meet us for an afternoon transfer to Luxembourg and our hotel.  Dinner and overnight in Luxembourg.  

Friday, June 16, 2000
Morning sightseeing in Luxembourg City and the Miami University Dolibois European Center.  Afternoon free for personal sightseeing, shopping or relaxing.  Dinner and overnight in Luxembourg.

Saturday, June 17, 2000
The day is committed to sightseeing in northern Luxembourg featuring the Battle of the Bulge Museum in Diekirch and the beautifully restored 1,000 year old Vianden Castle.  Dinner in Vianden prior to our overnight in Luxembourg.

Sunday, June 18, 2000
Late morning motor coach ride to Germany and the German section of the Mosel River, so famous for its vineyards.  Afternoon guided walking tour of Trier, the oldest German city, complete with exciting Roman heritage.  Return to Luxembourg for dinner on your own in the city square and overnight in Luxembourg.

Monday, June 19, 2000
Morning departure by motor coach to France, across Lorraine to Alsace and the delightful town of Colmar.  We will visit Kaysersberg on the Alsacen wine road and have a walking tour of Colmar prior to dinner and overnight in Colmar, France.

Tuesday, June 20, 2000
The morning is free to shop or sightsee in Colmar.  Afternoon we will transfer to Luzern, perhaps the most beautiful city in Switzerland.  Afternoon orientation walk in Luzern.  Dinner and overnight in Luzern.

Wednesday, June 21, 2000
Morning free for independent shopping or sightseeing in Luzern.  Afternoon tour into the Alps mountains to the monastery village of Engelberg.  Late afternoon return to Luzern for dinner on your own.

Thursday, June 22, 2000
Today we travel by motor coach across Switzerland, the beautiful western area of Austria and over the Alps mountains to Meran, in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy.  Dinner and overnight in Meran.

Friday, June 23, 2000
The day is given over to relaxing, sightseeing and shopping in the beautiful resort town of Meran, Italy.  You will notice the interesting mix of Italian and Austrian cultures.  Dinner and overnight in Meran.

Saturday, June 24, 2000
Today we travel by chair lift and cable car high into the Italian Alps.  We are treated to spectacular views of the mountains and villages in the valley below.  Dinner and overnight in Meran.

Sunday, June 25, 2000
Morning motor coach departure north over the famous Brenner Pass to Innsbruck, Austria where we stop for a midday visit in the heart of the city.  Afternoon we continue on along the Inn and Saalach River valleys through central Austria to Salzburg, Austria.  This is a beautiful and very walkable city, and the home of Mozart.  Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.

Monday, June 26, 2000
A morning guided walking tour will introduce us to the "Sound of Music" city.  Afternoon we ride into the beautiful Austrian lake district, the Salzkammergut.  Dinner on your own and perhaps a musical performance prior to overnight in Salzburg.

Tuesday, June 27, 2000
The morning is free for rest, independent sightseeing or shopping in Salzburg.  Afternoon we transfer by motor coach to Munich, Germany.  Our hotel is adjacent to the central walking section of this famous Bavarian city.  Dinner and overnight in Munich.

Wednesday, June 28, 2000
Morning guided coach tour of Munich, the city with Bavarian style.  Afternoon visit to Dachau, the first Nazi concentration camp, now a thought provoking museum, or some may wish to skip Dachau and spend the last afternoon in the Munich city center.  Dinner and overnight in Munich.

Thursday, June 29, 2000
Morning departure by motor coach to the Munich airport for our flight back to Dayton, Ohio via Philadelphia.
